This month bought this years MADE Awards celebration event where our students excelled. The new Open category allowed for our Senior students to submit multitouch books which was a bonus. I decided to make 2 multi touch books to share our entries into this competition. We had more than 20 prize winners in 2016 and even took out the Weta Workshop Supreme Award with a sensation retell of the Matariki legend by two 6 and 7 year old students (using sand, a Lightbox and iMovie).

Books description on the iTunes store
We have created this resource to share the learning experiences and successes of our students at Te Akau ki Papamoa School. All examples shared in this multitouch book, although part of the everyday learning in the classroom, have also been entered into the 2016 New Zealand National MADE Awards. Both the digital object, the learning intention and the process have been shared so that teachers and students can replicate, redesign or recreate their own version or simply be inspired at what our young learners are capable of!
