Events: This month I joined with a fellow educator (Adele Lidgard, E-learning leader at Welcome Bay School) to form and develop a local network "Let's Connect" of teachers interested in collaborative practice. A focus on the teaching and learning rather than the physical space (eg MLE, ILE). We created a Facebook Page to communicate and put out a survey to those that attended our first session (almost 100 educators!) to gain information as to how they would like future sessions to run.

Professional Development: During this month I continued to run PLD sessions across other schools on using Apple devices, Apps and environments to enhance teaching and learning and to lift student achievement. I have found that teachers tend to go to sites such as Pinterest and Facebook for short PD bites in their free time, I love Pinterest and have boards on a wide variety of learning areas and concepts.....take a look HERE.

Resources: I published the 5th multitouch book in the "High Frequency Word" series
Orange Words. I have now got a 'bank' of multitouch books on a list to be created and produced after sessions from educators via the NZ teachers Facebook page which now has almost 20,000 members. I have become very aware of the lack of resources created for use in the early years classrooms.
