Events: We continue to host a raft of visiting educators from across the country this month included our Minister of Education, Hekia Parata, 2 visits from Principals groups from Wellington and the Manawatu as well as a local school group.

I continue to host the "Let's Connect" group which we are finding has become more of a "fill your bucket" session as it is difficult to get teachers to share as the majority of them are at the beginning of their journey. Adele and I are sharing roles of practical in class strategies and tips and I am focused on ways to plan, report, gather data and build and strengthen relationships. This is an interesting group.

Resources: This month I published another multitouch book.
Developing Literacy. This book was a 'for fun' project for me...I needed a break from high frequency words and a repetitive format! It was also a resource to target a particular need in our early years classes, it is focused on fostering independence in young learners with rich tasks that support building relationships and oral language skills. I really enjoyed making this resource and are now finding iBooks Author a much easier place to navigate. I plan on making more of this style of book but in a range of themes e.g. Fruit, colours etc (watch this space...) You can download the book HERE.
