Events: This month we took our whole staff to the Ulearn Event in Rotorua, all those attending had made a commitment to present a workshop. You can download teachers support material from their workshops HERE. An important part of this event was the team building for our staff and the opportunity to hold conversations about the future and what that may hold for many of our staff. I made the decision at this event that I needed my current position to evolve.

Professional Development: Our school hosted Brendan Spillane (Learning and Leadership Consultant) for a Teacher Only Day professional development day.

Resources: I published the 6th and last book in the High Frequency Words books.
You can download the book HERE

I am thrilled to have finished this series and have learnt a lot through the process. Unfortunately through a computer and storage 'malfunction' I have lost the original .iba files for the first 2 books so are unable to make any updates or changes which is frustrating as I spot things I would like to 'tweak'. There is still the odd thing I would like to revisit so may do that in the future. Our learners regualrly use the books in class and of particular interest is the positive feedback from our International students and our ESOL (English as a second language) students - a group I hadn't initially considered. This has led me to think about building more multi lingual books in the future...
